"Necrodöd was an underground swedish black metal band that existed from 1992 to 1997. It consisted of two members, Anders Gunnbjörg and Thern Gräslund. They released one cassette tape around 1995 called "rituals of sathanic moonfrost," generating a minor buzz in the by-then oversaturated black metal scene. They never performed live, as all of the instrumental duties on the cassette were handled by Anders and Thern. What makes this band notable is that both members chose to end their lives in a mutual suicide pact after raping and murdering Anders' teenage cousin as part of what they claimed was "An unholy offering to Lord Satan" according to the note authorities found at the scene. The tape itself is extremely rare, and it pretty much sucks, hard, but here's one of the songs from it. You can tell the tape is kind of worn in parts, but that just makes it more necro, I guess."
