| This tale takes place back on August 1st, 2007, at 12.00am
yeah, i lost one back in august....Her name was Kodiak Bear. god she was the sweetest dog in the world. her and her brother Amistad were outside playing in the backyard, bout 12am or so, and by this time, i'm sleeping, i had to get up early the next day cause i was going to phoenix to visit my oldest sister... anyway, as i am sleeping, my mom tells my other sister to let the dogs in, and a few minutes went by and she let them in.....well, Amistad figured out how to grab Bear's collar, and play with it, but in this instance, it was a chain collar, cause earlier that week, Amistad broke her normal collar. Well, by the time Ashley had gotten to the backdoor, Amistad's jaw was caught in Bear's collar, and he couldn't get away, so what does he do...but a death roll.... worst thing he could have done... One, it made bear choke faster, and two, that caused Ami to lose part of his tongue. So, a few seconds later, Ashley comes crashing into my bedroom, shouting that Ami had gotten caught in bear's collar, OK, it was 12.15am by this point, i wasn't getting up for shit. well, that was the case until Ashley came back into my room and told me to get the fuck out of bed, because Amistad was killing bear... i was close to shitting anvil's at this point, cause i just woke up, and now I'm being forced to go outside, while half asleep. We didn't end up saving bear.. She was dead only a few seconds after i helped bring her and Amistad inside... We ended up going to the vet's office around 12.25am. We couldn't just leave Amistad attached to his dead sister. He didn't suffer from any serious damage. Just lost a bit off from his tongue. Then, the stupid vet dude called animal control cause he thought we were fighting our boxers.. >_< what a douche. I hope this goes without ignorance about chain collars.. It doesn't matter if you only put it on once in a while, your dog could still die from getting a chain collar caught on something. |
