Tommi | I spoke to Vinny (one of my photography tutors), and he said that you need to set the timer on it for around 250th of a second. He also said but the eso sensitivty to 800 (he said, maybe 400 and 1600 but you need to try it) and see if that works.
He said when photographing motorsports, put it on either the TV, AV or M setting (he personally would put it on the AV setting). He said leave it on auto focus and set the aperature setting to F8 (and the shutter speed to match). I hope that helps, and I'm sorry if you already know that stuff that I just told you but that's what Vinny told me.
