multiple movies per book   background: If one thing pisses me off, it's when Hollywood makes a decent book into a crappy movie. If there's one thing that pisses me off MORE, it's when Hollywood takes a single book and breaks it into multiple movies   What do you think about The Hobbit being made into 2 movies?   I don't care ... I'm with v2, but you know how Hollywood loves to milk shit. In fact, it should be extra long. And I'm actually glad to hear another Hobbit movie is being made. The original cartoon one was fine as a kid but I'd rather an up-to-date, more for adult kind of thing. I just hope they don't fuck it up.

They won't fuck it up if Peter Jackson is filming it. Should be one movie I guess, but if they do pack it into one, higher chance of fucking it up.

Everyone looks to Peter Jackson to be the new fantasy movie messiah. Granted, he did amazing with LOTR, but I don't see any evidence for such a big hope. Besides, there needs to be some others who can pull it off too.

I liked Pan's Laberinth ... it was different and looked more Alice-in-Wonderland than the upcoming film of the same title ... though I think you're right about The Hobbit[hobbitses] not being so good >.> I just don't think there are enough plot points to warrent breaking the book into two films >.<

Money scam, sure. But it might work out anyway. Two movies means more room means less stuff from the book having to be cut from it.
